“There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.” ― Leonard Cohen

I create a collaborative journey during the therapeutic process that assists my clients in discovering their strengths, building support systems, and developing a healthy lifestyle to set the foundation for life success. I have a wide array of experience working in the mental health field, including foster care, trauma, and inpatient unit group therapy.

I have over 15 years of experience providing counseling and case management services to children, adults, and families in school settings as a licensed social worker, in the home, and in agency settings. I have also acted as Assistant Director for an In-home Services Program as well as developed new programs, collaborated and served on multiple interdisciplinary teams, and supervised other counselors in the mental health field. I have facilitated child and adult groups for over 10 years in various settings to include schools, courts, and mental health agencies on a variety of issues to include parenting, communication and values, grief and loss, and other psychosocial topics and education.

I promote and embrace the practice of mindfulness and gratitude, the value of human connection with a warm and compassionate style. I work collaboratively with clients helping them explore their emotions, set goals for themselves, identify their own inherent gifts, and look toward the future. Depending on the best fit for a client, I use a variety of techniques to help them move through their ever-changing landscape of their lives and the importance of finding meaning in one’s life
